Review:Keeper of Reign by Emma Right

Book Description

 May 18, 2013
Books written in blood. Most are lost, their Keepers with them. A curse that befell a people. A Kingdom with no King. Life couldn’t get more harrowing for the Elfies, a blend of Elves and Fairies. Or for sixteen-year-old Jules Blaze. Or could it?
For Jules, the heir of a Keeper, no less, suspects his family hides a forgotten secret. It was bad enough that his people, the Elfies of Reign, triggered a curse which reduced the entire inhabitants to a mere inch centuries ago. All because of one Keeper who failed his purpose. Even the King’s Ancient Books, did not help ward off that anathema.
Now, Gehzurolle, the evil lord, and his armies of Scorpents, seem bent on destroying Jules and his family. Why? Gehzurolle’s agents hunt for Jules as he journeys into enemy land to find the truth. Truth that could save him and his family, and possibly even reverse the age-long curse. Provided Jules doesn't get himself killed first.

My Review:

Keeper of the Reign is a fantasy book for all ages, it is a fast paced story and from page one you are drawn into it, get to know the character of the family Blaze, Jules and his 5 siblings, they are Elfies a mix of Elf's and fairies. They got cursed a long time ago and are very tiny. Jules sets out to look for his family and answers, to safe his race and try to lift the curse.

Gehzurolle and his Scorpents are determine to destroy Jules and his family, they hunt after him while he looks for a cure and his family, he badly need answers and find the books that will help him.

If he will be successful? and find what he is looking for , plus lift the curse? You read that for yourself it is worth it. Great first book of these series.

Review: Acid King by Maggie Abbot

Book Description

 July 25, 2013
Four long-estranged friends from London's turbulent Sixties scene of sex, drugs and rock and roll are thrown together after seventeen years when one of them accidentally discovers the secret identity of their betrayer; a man they knew only as The Acid King, a charismatic figure who orchestrated a weekend of alluring drugs ending with a bust, jail time and death.

What the friends don’t know is that a New York FBI Agent, another old enemy of the Acid King, has been on a long frustrating manhunt of his own, driven by the same rage for revenge. Until, by coincidence, he discovers the mystery man’s hidden Los Angeles location and tracks him to his lair. Resulting in a dangerous confrontation that puts lives, both guilty and innocent, on the line.

The Acid King is the thinly veiled story of the famous Redlands drug bust of 1967; an event that put Mick Jagger and Keith Richards behind bars and nearly destroyed the world’s most famous rock band. All orchestrated by an unidentified man who set them up and then disappeared.

By a strange twist of fate the Author (former film agent for Mick Jagger) met the Acid King in Los Angeles and became involved with him for several years, never knowing who he really was, until her friend Marianne Faithfull (former lover of Jagger) surprisingly identified him.

The Acid King tells the fictionalized story of what she imagined could have happened afterwards.

My Review:

Fascinating book about the drug scene on the seventies, the time that was almost the end of the Rolling Stones when two of their band members were arrested. I liked reading behind the scenes of it all, it is real cool to read how Maggie had her own connections with Mick and the Acid King.
I recommend it to read, it brings you clear light about that time.

Review: Rebel Legend of the Spider-Prince By Margo Ander

Book Description

July 15, 2013 The Legend of the Spider-Prince
Wyl is a young rebel whose life of dangerous lies and hidden truths has cost him his childhood and his ability to trust. He is fanatically loyal to the rebel leader, a woman embroiled in a blood-feud with Trascolm’s ruling clan. When he’s not away spying, he’s her secret bodyguard—she needs protection from her army of renegades and outlaws as much as she does from the bounty hunters and assassins sent by her archenemy. When the rebellion meets with disaster, the rebel leader’s strategy changes. Wyl is thrust into a hostile royal court of underage teens—mere children, to his mind. He’s expected to embrace this more civilized way of life, but all his brutally-honed instincts betray him and he makes enemies instead of friends. Wyl—a boy raised by outlaws—is in over his head and must somehow master the subtleties of courtly intrigue well-enough to keep the rebel leader and the rebellion alive, and do it without getting himself killed. About The Legend of the Spider-Prince series In a land where men have unbridled influence, but women hold the reins of power, a young rebel involved in a blood-feud becomes entangled in a deadly web of magic, court intrigue, and revenge in an escalating series of events that will ultimately destroy magic, overturn governments, cause the near-collapse of civilization, even threaten the very existence of life on Eryth—and make him a legend.

My Review:

How I loved this story, I adore the character of Wyl.
He is raised a rebel and always having a back and need of weapons  when they get almost all killed, his leaders decided to go another road one that can cost them their lives. He is a secret bodyguard and raised in a wild way. when they get in court and he needs to learn the ways of a prince and how to behave, he has a hard time. but he needs it soon! A lot of intrigues and murder plans , betrayers and many more.

Well written adventure and thrilling parts in it. The characters are well worked out. I have been routing for Wyl(heim) from the beginning, he is lovable in his way. If they will all stay alive and get the throne will have to be seen, I will not say to much but so look forward to read more of this Author.

Review: To love a Wolf by B.K. Walker

Cevin Harpster is in his residency year to obtain his M.D. He's looking forward to his new life after graduation, where he will open his own practice and marry his high school sweetheart.

As the dreams become more frequent, his sex drive rockets and his fiance', Sam, finds Cevin's new desire for experimenting enticing, even if a bit rough, when his sexual experiences from his dreams are used on her.

Weird things continue to happen in Cevin's dreams, when he learns that this mysterious woman actually exists, and he is meant to be her mate and lead a pack of wolves he never imagined to be real.

When dreams and reality meet...someone always gets burned!

My Review:

This book says erotic and boy is it ever, not fit for young readers.
I personally don't mind sex but it was a bit overdone in my opinion, The book is a okay read, don't get me wrong the story is good. But when you get through all erotic parts and Paul discovers what is "wrong" with him and finally hears the truth, he meets the group turns and  Cevin will continue fighting for his love Sam. If the mystery woman will get her claws on him you will have to read for yourself. There it is the end. It was abrupt I did not expect it at all.
I still do look forward to read the rest of this story.

Book Tour and Review for Zak and Zoe and the Yogi's Curse by Lars Guignard

Book Description

 July 23, 2013
Move over Percy Jackson. The Yogi's Curse has arrived...

Zoe and Zak are back in India. Again. And this time they're attending Moonstock Himalayan Boarding School, which might seem fun except for the fact that the school itself is a little strange.

Students ride elephants instead of school buses, snarling monkeys work as security guards, and angry parrots monitor the halls. And even when they manage to get used to the wildlife, the food is absolutely terrible.

But living with a bunch of other kids their age can be a lot of fun too, or at least it seems that way until Zoe's roommate goes missing. Following the directions written on a steamy bathroom mirror,  Zoe and Zak fly through the clouds on their magic carpet to learn that the two of them have been chosen yet again. This time they've been asked to lift the Yogi's Curse.

It's not going to be easy. Zoe and Zak don't even know what the Yogi's Curse is let alone how to lift it, but like it or not, they soon discover that a whole lot of people are depending on them.

Now, if they're going to save the day, Zoe and Zak are going to have to fool the monkey guards, avoid the nasty parrots, and maybe even develop a supernatural ability or two. Because lurking beneath Moonstock is a powerful new enemy. And if Zoe and Zak can't stop him, nobody can.

If you liked Book One in the Zoe & Zak series, Ghost Leopard, you'll love The Yogi's Curse. Join Zoe and Zak on their new adventure today!

My Review for Charisma Media Network:

I loved the first book and when I had the chance to review the sequel I did it without thinking. Great book about Zak and Zoe, this time they go to  school in India as their parents have more work there, the school is highly recommend and they arrive early as first after a strange journey.
Students ride Elephants and there are Parrots and Monkey's for security.

Strange thing are going on, Zoe's roommate disappears and no one else seems  to miss her. it is like she was never there. More strange thing start to happen en Zak and Zoe  go to investigate they use the magic carpet, but the next day there is a raid and  carpets are taking away from all kids, they are not allowed to get out of their rooms anymore after lights out.

Zak and zoe wouldn't be them self if they do not find the truth and solve everything with some help of their room mates they get there and the question is did they safe the day and the whole school??? Read for yourself !

1: Since when do you write?
I’ve been writing for quite a while now and I have to fit the words in among raising 6 kids and a hubs as well as all the other crazy stuff spinning me around during the day and chasing me in my dreams. I love it and can’t imagine not writing in all that mess.
2: Why are your Zombies more alive (brains etc) ?
I wanted a zombie to have a chance. I don’t like the idea that they are just empty shells looking for food. These were people once and should be able to still be there – even have a chance at happiness. I’m told I’m creepy, but Thriller by Michael Jackson suggests so much more! I love the idea that the bad guy can be the good guy.

3: What is your favorite food & drink ?
Girl, what food and drink wouldn’t be on that list? I love food! I’d have to go with a tried and true – pizza, probably Hawaiian. Drink? Ooooh, Cranberry Limeade from Sonic (right now hehe)
.
4: Can we expect sequels?
This series is complete – it even has a prequel based on Dominic – the “bad guy”. There are 3 books and a short for a total of 4 or would that be 3 and a half?

5: Are you characters based on people you know, or completely made up?
Completely made up. I love them so much, though, they feel real, you know?

6: If you could write something totally different, what would it be ?
I write whatever I want whenever I can. I never stick to one thing simply because it’s expected of me. But I used to think I was a romance writer, but have since discovered I like action and thriller more – even though romance is always present. Of course!

7: If your book would make it to a movie who would play Paul and who Heather ?
I always pictured Channing Tatum as Paul and Anna Kendrick as Heather. Wouldn’t that be awesome!?

8: As last is there something you would like to tell your readers ?
Thank you so much for spending time with me in my worlds. I appreciate your investment and I would love to hear from you! Thank you, thank you!

Thank you for the interview, I recommend this book it is so different and good!
