Strong vibrant characters with action packed battle drama Jamie Hawkins was living on an obscure planet in the twenty third-century when on one fateful night--his life changed forever. His heroic effort to save the lives of innocent women and children, caught in the cross-fire of war, placed him squarely in the cross-hairs of avenging soldiers. Hawkins was stunned when his rescue effort was seen as treachery. Unfairly convicted of treason by a corrupt judge, he was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor on an infamous penal colony. Once in prison, his courage and perseverance won him the admiration and trust of his fellow convicts. While he was plotting his escape, an enemy attacked the planet--giving this daring warrior his chance. Together with his fellow prisoners, he launched a bold assault and high-jacked an enemy warship. From then on, Captain Jamie Hawkins and his ship the Indefatigable fought against a corrupt government--only to discover a mysterious alien presence behind the war.

olivia hardin pic b&w.jpg When Olivia Hardin began having strange movie-like dreams in her teens, she had no choice but to begin putting them to paper. Before long the writing bug had her and she knew she wanted to be a published author. Several rejections plus a little bit of life later, and she was temporarily “cured” of the urge to write. That is until she met a group of talented and fabulous writers who gave her the direction and encouragement she needed to get lost in the words again. Olivia’s attended three different universities over the years and toyed with majors in Computer Technology, English, History and Geology. Then one day she heard the term road scholar and she knew that was what she wanted to be. Now she “studies” anything and everything just for the joy of learning. She's also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and she’s sometimes accused of being artistic. A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband, Danny and their puppy, Bonnie.

Review: Unexpected by P.F. Citizen

A series of short, true life stories, which are the product of the travels and observations of one man. The stories are a miscellaneous collection of the funny and sad, of tragedy, love and friendship. And they are all, in a way, unexpected.
Unexpected takes you on a journey from a Brazilian working on the oil rigs of Venezuela, who gets the shock of his life, to the uplifting story of a Chinese beggar living on the streets, entertaining passers-by with his songs and surviving through the mercy and kindness of others.
There is a story for each of us in this book. Each one is subtly different and each carries either a message of hope for lost, or of caution for the unwary.
Unexpected is just that. Just as life is and just as the course of our lives run, at times unexpectedly.

Review: Letting Go: A Contemporary Romantic Thriller by Anthony Awtrey

An attempt on his life throws their lives into chaos, inviting more threats, public scrutiny, and Molly’s ex-husband back into her life. The tension tests the attraction they feel toward each other as they struggle to keep life normal for their kids.

Review:

Alex lost his wife in childbirth, He been through a wringer of threats and harassing phone calls. He decides to leave the city lives and move to a small town with his daughters.
There he gets help from his next door neighbor Molly, who is a single mother of a son. While he adjust to living in the country with her help their past catch up to both. Alex feels guilty about it when Molly gets dragged in his problems.
But then there is Molly's ex-husband.

The characters in this book are great I could totally relate to them, I love the authors way of writing and the story line, there is some romance in it too.
Even Though the kids sound almost to perfect it was a very enjoyable book.
I had a hard time putting it down.

                                                      Review:

What a very interesting book, the brain is a fascinating something, very intriguing. The minute I saw this book I wanted to read it,
A student puts a professor though a challenge it makes him use his skills, soon he gets help from another student. They come to solutions it is such a interesting story, in the meantime you are educated about the brain it gives a form of self-help without being noticeable. The author runs you through it in a great story line with fun,and great characters. You will learn a thing of two. If you are fascinated with the brain like me you will love this book.
