Dave Callaghan is a PI specialist in Paranormal cases, One day a MOB boss asks him to help with a mice problem. not just mice mind you but ectoplasma mouse that can speak.
Dave is soon totally in the case which brings surprises and unexpected help from a ghost.
He finds out that the mice can't tell him much, but after a visit with the cornflakes oracle he knows a secret that will make the mouse talk. He finds out that there is more to it all.
Will he be on time to safe the girl that makes the mice?

Very cute story but adult not so much kids, unless they are YA

Bond of Love Blog Tour

Married to a successful veterinarian named Noah and mother to a spunky daughter named Kara, her life is far from awful but she is stuck. With the recent move of their daughter, who has just flown the coop for college, this story examines the deep and often-tumultuous bond between mother and child and the lengths we are willing to go to, as mothers, to sacrifice our own happiness for the ones we love.

As we watch Avery walk through her ‘new’ way of daily life, without her ambitious and stubborn child around to mother any longer, we are given a very unique opportunity to tip toe in the front row of their lives, from three very separate views. We will see life as it plays out through her mature and motherly eyes, through Kara’s young and sheltered heart, and then through ‘someone else’s eyes’ that has a vested interest in them both.

As Avery’s well-hidden web of lies come crashing down in an unexpected way, her secrets that she’s safeguarded for years will threaten to rip her peaceful world apart, as well as the world of the ones she loves most. As readers, we will watch how ONE single choice can alter everything. Each character will then be forced to examine what the true meaning of love and forgiveness means to them.

Every gamut of emotion will be explored: humor, sadness, love, joy, betrayal, hate, and forgiveness. Bond of Love will leave you pondering the age-old question: How well do YOU actually know the ones you love most?

About the Author – Olivia Hardin realized early on how strange she was to have complete movie-like character dreams as a child. Eventually she began putting those vivid dreams to paper and was rarely without her spiral notebooks full of those mental ramblings. Her forgotten vision of becoming an author was realized when she connected with a group of amazingly talented and fabulous writers who gave her lots of direction and encouragement. With a little extra push from family and friends, she hunkered down to get lost in the words. She’s also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and is sometimes accused of being artistic, though she’s generally too much of a perfectionist to appreciate her own work. A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband and their puppy Bonnie.

Book Description

 December 13, 2013

His creator, Dr. Jessica Tallette, believes his special abilities offer great promise for humanity. The Union of Nations is funding Tallete’s artificial intelligence research, and she turns to them for help. Excerpt Inn on the Edge by Gail Bridges

Excerpt:

Is a Picture Really Worth a Thousand Words?

I can’t remember when I first heard this saying, but it was a long time ago. It may have been in high school during an Honors English class. Or perhaps earlier, in sixth grade, in that weird-but-wonderful class taught by the world’s coolest art teacher, Mrs. Rainbow. Maybe I first heard someone say it on TV, or maybe it came from my Mother who adored pithy sayings, or – who knows? – it could even have been some daffy cartoon character on a long-ago Saturday morning. If so, the saying went in one ear and out the other because the character had a ridiculous quacking voice and, besides, who really listens to cartoons?
Whatever the circumstances, I’m sure I believed the words. It’s a no-brainer, right? A picture is worth a thousand words. Simple. Everybody knows it.
But I’m not so sure.
To me, the saying hints that images are better than words. According to Wikipedia, the first instance in print was arguably an advertisement for Auto Supplies in Piqua, Ohio, in 1913. Many more usages of the saying soon followed, and I imagine it didn’t take long for it to enter the common lexicon. To the detriment of language.
Words deserve their due, I say.
I don’t hate pictures. Not at all! As an artist, how could I hate pictures? I’ve worked in many artistic media: I’ve painted (my Fine Arts degree is in oil painting), I’ve worked in metals, in ceramics, in photography. I’m also a musician. And I’m a published author.
As a writer, I use words as though they were paints. Nouns and verbs are manipulated on the page as if they were Cobalt Blue or Alizarin Crimson on stretched canvas. Paragraphs and dialogue, as if they were perspective and composition. Story arcs, as if they were negative space. I’ve come to understand that writing and painting are so very similar: which word do I use – “stalk”, “reed”, or “spear” – to describe a blade of ocean grass? Which color do I use – Viridian Green, Hooker Green, or Phthalo Green – to visually render the same foliage?
Is one way of portraying the world better than the other? I think not.
Words paint a picture for the reader, right? Then why not let them do what they do best? Getting lost in a book and using my imagination to create my own mental picture of the action, the setting, the characters – all of it! – is what I most love about reading. Curling up on a cushy couch on a rainy day, picturing the bleached hot landscape of a favorite book … it’s sublime. Think about it: a reader is actually treated to two art forms in one!
And no two readers experience it the same way.
If I, as a writer, can prompt my readers to imagine scenes they’ve never seen, I’ve accomplished what I set out to do. Creating a world in a stranger’s mind is…something beautiful …something to be proud of. Someday, I may take a vacation from writing. I may drag out my paint tubes and crusty brushes and wrinkled canvases. Most likely, I will enjoy every moment of putting color to work, and will be thrilled to be creating visual artwork again. But don’t be fooled: never again will I believe that painting is better than writing.

One thing about secrets they rarely stay in the dark.

Review:

Kyra is a nurse, harmed by love, the minute she sees Jared she is sold. They both instantly fall for each other but both hurt and careful. It is also against hospital rules that a nurse starts dating a patient. It cost Kyra all her power to try to stay away from Jared, then she is appointed to his private nurse. Will they over come their hurt and allow them self their love?!?
Very well written story, Fair warning it has adult scenes in it.

Excerpt and Review Searching for Normal

At the hospital front entrance we waited for our cab and discussed anything but what was said in their private discussion. While the suspense was killing me, I wanted to hold off on asking her until we were in the comfort of familiar, safe surroundings.
“What did the doctor tell you? I finally blurted out, unable to wait. “It’s bad news, isn’t it?”
Mom met my gaze.
“Maybe we should discuss this at home.”
I knew she was probably right, but we were the only two people around.
“Mom, it’s my body. Can you please tell me now?”
She grabbed my hand and squeezed it,
“Honey, the doctors want to put you in the hospital to wean you off the steroids.”
“For how long?”
“Two to three months. But you’ll have your entire life ahead of you when you are discharged.”
“My entire life? But all my plans ...” I struggled to absorb what she'd said.
Mom gazed outside the window as if searching for our cab or perhaps a distraction, something that would make the news more palatable.
She looked back at me.
“If something isn’t done now,” she said plainly, “they think you won't live to be twenty.”
She gathered me in a hug as the words filtered through the sanitized air, and sunk into my brain.
Sure, the doctors had used the word ‘terminal’ before – but not recently. I still had so many things left to accomplish. I wanted to sing, graduate, learn to drive, go to Disneyland, fall in love, and deepen my relationships with friends and family.
Time – I needed more time.

In that year there are better medication to cure  sexual disease, which results in wild sex scenes in the Olympic camps, It is a scary thought it could be real. All Leah and Benson want is win Olympic Gold/  It is very well written, it leaves a lot to your own imagination too.
