Review: A Lady's Plight by Katy Walters
Lady Isabella Winton waits years to marry her fiancé, but Lord Alexander Fitzroy, a reformed rake, always finds an excuse to delay the nuptials.
With the marriage set for the next month, Fitzroy tells her he is needed in Belgium almost immediately. He warns her it may be dangerous for her to accompany him.
Isabella suspects he is bluffing. Brussels is the centre of a social whirl. She looked forward elaborate dinners and extravagant balls. Fearing Fitzroy may have returned to his rakish ways, she insists on travelling with him.
Isabella is unaware that Lord Everard Ladness, heir to a dukedom, is obsessed with her and will go to any lengths to possess her.
My Review:
Lady Isabella insist on going with her fiancee to war area but they need to be married first, her father arrange a special marriage license to marry in a short time. There is however a Lord Everard that is obsessed with her and refuse to accept that she is engaged, in his mind she is his, He does anything to get her, Even an attempt to kidnap. Isabella is glad that she leaves England to go with her husband and happy to hear her best friend and her husband and brother with his bride will follow soon! To both Alexander's and Isabella's horror they find out that Lord Everard is in the war zone too. He seems however to accept that Issabela is married after her mother smacked him on the head with her umbrella at church, till that one day, Issabella is kidnapped again................................ Will Alexander ever see his wife again? Will the be happy again and build their lives together?
Good story, romance and excitement, lovable characters. worth the money, but that is my two cents.
