The Order of The Sentinels.
The Order of The Learned.
The Order of The Writs.
The Order of The Cloth.
Angels.
Demon.
In the foothills of Mt. Empyreal the most powerful forces in the world are drawn into combat.
And the fate of all the world hangs in the balance.

Excerpt from The End is Now by Connor Titus:
For  hours,  she  drove  in silence, enjoying the beauty of  the  wintry  landscape  that seemed somehow amplified in the quiet of a planet without the noise of technology. The  rumble  of  the  engine against  the  backdrop  of  the stillness lured Khrystle into a state of calmness that she had never  before  achieved,  but when the abomination wrapped its  tail  around her  wrist,  she was jerked back to reality by the  sounds  of  her  own screaming.
She slid to a screeching stop and  jumped  from the  ATV. After a deep breath, she put the demonic  spawn  back  in  the cargo space and picked up her shotgun for comfort.
The reprieve was short-lived.
It was a military plane, a fighter jet, and its silent descent from the sky was nothing short  of memorizing. There was an earth-shattering explosion. Moments later, she was blasted off her feet by the hot wind.
Standing,  she  watched  the black  smoke  climb  into  the bright sky. How long  she   stood  staring, she  couldn’t  remember, but after a while, she straddled the vehicle and started the engine.
It  had taken her two days to
reach the …
Devastation.
It took Khrystle a moment to realize  that  the  dissemination before her was the result of the fighter  jet  slamming  into  an Amtrak.
The sickly sweet,  acrid smell that  seared her  throat  was so strong she could actually taste it. When it donned on her that it was the smell of burning flesh, she fell to her knees and soiled the pristine snow as her body violently emptied the meager contents of her stomach.
At  that  moment,  she couldn’t remember  a  prayer,  so  she wept instead.
The dog’s growling was barely heard above the girl’s sobbing, but was loud enough to cease her tears.
Rising from the basin with the black  smoke  and  red-orange flame was a man. She stood as she watched him stumble, fall, and struggle to his feet, only to fall again.
Blood poured from beneath his hair to fall across his swollen face like a cascade. The purple bruising around his  right  eye had caused it to close; his left eye stared at nothing.
The  threads  of  his  charred pants  billowed  in  the  winter breeze,  exposing  muscle  and
bone  from the  rip  in  flesh above his right  knee.  Second and third degree burns covered
his  skin  and  a  book  was clutched  within  his  blistering
arms.
How was it, she asked herself, that this man would be able towalk away from a train wreck?
When he was mere feet from Khrystle, he collapsed. She ran to him. Kneeling, she  unzipped her  duffle  bag,  but  was distracted as she reached in for her medical kit.
It was a feather, a large black feather  from  a  crow.  She looked up in time to watch the black bird land on the power line. Before she had the time to look away, another bird landed.
And  then  another,  and  yet another.
In  just  minutes  hundreds  of crows  were  assembled judiciously above her.
Their  silence  was  alarming.
She dragged her attention from the birds to the man who lay injured. That  simple  act  caused  her vision  to  blacken  along  the edges.
Her  question  was  answered when  she  saw the  book  he clutched. The storm that surged across her mind was as forceful and devastating as a category five  hurricane, leaving
debilitating  fear  and  biting goose bumps in its wake.
And through the dark,  he will come to shield the book.
The  embossing  on  the  book was written in Aramaic, but she knew what it said anyway.
This is the Book of the First.

With time running out, and supernatural enemies surrounding them, will The Guardians of Man be able to save the Earth?
Excerpt for The Guardians of Man:
And through the dark, he will come to shield the book. Jessica heard the words as if they came to her from some faraway place, but she was very sure of what was being said. Despite the fact that the words were not English, some primal instinct made the words as clear as her mother tongue. In the dream, she was outside in the snow. From a mountain top she looked down and saw the town below. Part was lost in smoke and ashes. She could make out movement in the streets. Black crows rose in the air, unfettered by the acid snow that fell upon them.

So, this was the elusive Matt from her firm. His lips curled into a smile, and she knew this man was trouble. Brianna carefully stood, trying to appear self-assured and in control.
“Yes, I’m Brianna LeBlanc. And you are?” She decided to play with him a bit—attempt to take his confidence down a notch or two.

“Matt Fueller,” he responded.
“Yes, Steve mentioned you would be valuable in assisting me on the case.”
Matt’s smile faded and he cocked his head. “Assisting you? I thought Steve put me in charge, and you’re the paralegal assisting me.”
Arrogant bastard. “You are quite mistaken,” Brianna said. “I’m handling the case, not you. If you care to help, you’re more than welcome. But I’m in charge. This is my case, and this is my client. Are we clear?” She would not let this man walk all over her. She needed to remain in control. “So you’re not a paralegal?”
Brianna couldn’t tell if he was making fun of her or not. She squared her shoulders and replied, “No, are you?” She was sure her face was bright red. Matt was about to respond when their names were called and a correctional officer escorted them to a private room. When they entered, they found Hector sitting at a table, his hands and feet bound.
Not wanting to give Matt the opportunity to take charge, Brianna said, “Hello, Hector. You may recall my name is Brianna LeBlanc. This is Matt Fueller. We’re here from Eric Smith and Associates, and we’ll be representing you.” She took a seat across from him. Matt slid onto the seat next to her.
Hector sneered at Brianna, his eyes roaming over her body and stopping at her chest.
Brianna wanted to remain professional since Matt was in the room. “I spoke with the prosecution this morning,” she said. “They’re seeking the maximum—twenty years. I want to go over your arrest to make sure we can’t get you off on a technicality.”
Hector licked his lips suggestively. Brianna focused on her notepad, unable to look at the crude man.
“Why don’t you tell us everything you remember about your arrest,” Brianna said.
Hector gave no indication he was going to respond.
“Mr. Esteban, you understand English don’t you?” Brianna asked.
“My English is just as good as yours,” Hector leered. “But I’m not really all that interested in talking about my arrest with you. Why don’t you come a little closer so I can smell you?” He leaned forward with a lecherous smile.
“Excuse me?” Brianna scooted her chair back. “I’m your attorney, not your eye candy. I need for you to work with me here.”
“I am more than willing to work with you, but if you really want to help me, then come a little closer.” Hector’s eyes darted to Matt.
Brianna had the distinct feeling that if Matt weren’t next to her, Hector would somehow find a way to rape her. Glancing down, she made sure his feet here still locked in the chains and secured to the table. Trying to appear confident, Brianna cleared her throat and said, “Mr. Esteban, I don’t have time for this. Your arraignment is less than two weeks away. Don’t you want to get off?”
“I know that you will get me off. I have no doubt you will.” Hector laughed as he gyrated his pelvis.
“Hector, get a grip,” Matt said. “I’ve done her and she isn’t worth it. It’s like fucking a brick wall. She’s nice to look at, but that’s it.” Brianna’s face went flaming red. Matt continued, “Has Phillip talked to you?”

Not Everyone Walks With You On Your Journey! !

Often when we start a new quest, venture, or journey, we can't wait to blaze a new trail and invite our family, friends, and the world to come along with us. Sooner or later we find out that not everyone wants to be apart of our journey. What can we learn from Sunny in Bee Helpful when he discovers almost no one supports his quest to help his friend?

Can you remember a time when you had an idea, dream, or project that was very important to you? The sort of thing that caused a tidal wave of excitement to rush through your entire nervous system? This level of enthusiasm is hard to keep inside and nearly impossible to ignore. For many reaching this point, it certainly marks the beginning of a new quest. One of the first things we might do is reach out to some people and share our vision or quest with them only to end up with a basket full of heartbreaking experiences when they don't share our enthusiasm, say it will not work, disagree, ridicule us and/or our idea, refuse to support us, or even ignore us! This can be downright disheartening, hurtful, and devastating.

This sort of response is often all it takes to destroy a fragile dream that aspires to one day become real. Just about everyone who has shared their idea with enough people have experienced this...it even happened to Sunny in my Bee Helpful story too! This is one of many lessons I've included in the story for children and parents because lack of support can leave us feeling hurt, angry, frustrated, resentful, and isolated.

So what can we do about it? What did Sunny do? One of the lessons is about accepting:

"Not Everyone Walks With You On Your Journey..."

What does this mean? It means that it's not meant for everyone to be apart of what you are doing, or at least not right now. Our journey is first and foremost for us to walk and sometimes we must walk it alone.
This doesn't mean that everyone is against us or hope that we will fail in our quest. Often it's just that many people are busy with their own journeys. Some of them are even fighting spectacular fire breathing dragons and are unable to come and help you fight yours.

There are lots of reasons why they can't be there with us. Whatever the reasons are, we will be better off to honor them and accept that not everyone can go with us on our quest. After feeling frustration and despair, Sunny Bee eventually accepted this so he could continue his journey.

The second part of the lesson is:

"Always Keep Moving Forward"

Despite walking alone sometimes or not receiving the level of support we had hope to get from the people in our lives or that of the world, we must remember to always keep moving forward. It's ok to take a break and rest for a little while to regroup as Sunny did in the story.

It is very easy to get caught up thinking about who's not there or didn't do this or that.
These discouraging thoughts can cause us to be in the wrong emotional state to succeed. Instead, we must concentrate our vital energy on our passion and each step of our journey, which is really about doing what we love. Remember each day to take a step or two and realize that it is all about the journey, not the destination. If you can't enjoy now, you will not enjoy later either.

"Remember each day to take a step or two and realize that it is all about the journey, not the destination."

Also it helps a lot to be grateful for those who do support you, even if it is just your dog at first. If you walk far enough, eventually you will be surprised at who comes along and who you will meet along the way.

Lastly, be there to support someone else on their quest, too. Your attention, time, support or whatever you can give, means more to them than you'll probably ever know.

What are your thoughts? Have you experienced support or lack of support for your ideas or quest? How did you feel about it? What did you do about it?

My Review:

Ariana is a young girl who is "created" 2 years ago by the creators, it is a hard life, fight to survive and find obsidian to give to the creators in exchange for food, not that it is much, most people starve to death or kill others for their food. Ariana doesn't kill she survives somehow.

One day when she is fighting with her friend Darith, she sees a man fall through a "wall". she has a nasty cut in her leg and the man in white lays his hands on her leg and heals her wound, then he runs on to safe himself. Creators guards run after the man and Araina and Darith decide to safe the man, they follow them top the castle of the Creators. They decide to get in and are in awe of what they see. In order to find the man in white they kidnap a guard to help them. She does help but is stubborn too, only Araina has something to keep over her head to guarantee her helping, The Creators find out what happened and release magic and other bad stuff in the Labyrinth to take revenge.

The three meet up with more people, Ariana is determine to get Kuron back to the wall. if they make it and get to a better place is for you to find out.
I personal loved this book, it is a good read. magical animals and figures, action and weird places, it is all about survival, it reminded me aa bit of hunger games mixed with

The Clan of the Cave Bear if you like these books then this is a must read!!!!
